Forest Folk is a little shop in the carpark of the Titirangi Rudolf Steiner School. full of an astounding and inspiring range of craft and stationery supplies, toys and games. Owned by the Rudolf Steiner (Titirangi) Trust and run by volunteers with all profits going to the Trust, ForestFolk was created to provide supplies and materials to support the holistic development of the child, as espoused in Waldorf Education.
Waldorf education aims to develop the whole child through heart, hands and head. Young children learn through imitation and imagination.
Forest Folk aims to support this education by providing toys that promote imaginative play. We favour toys made from natural materials, thus respecting our environment. Wherever possible, we source items through "Fair-Trade" suppliers, thus respecting humanity.
